Syed Ali Raza resigns as Chairman NBP

Speculations are that Chairman National Bank, Syed Ali Raza, has submitted his resignation as a protest over constant ignorance of his demandes for more powers as the Chairman of National Bank..

A notice, sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) by the NBP stated that the chairman national bank, Syed Ali Raza has resigned and that his resignation has been accepted by the Federal Government.

Sources speculate that the Ex Chairman wanted more powers to run the bank in a professional manner. His decision to resign came after raising concern over the issue in board meetings.

After this resignation, he has become the longest instated Chairman of the National Bank of Pakistan.
