PM contempt hearing adjourned, Nargis recorded statement

As the court directed, Secretary Cabinet and Defence Nargis sethi appeared before the court as a witness today and recorded her statements in the court.

While Gilani’s counsel Aitzaz Ahsan submit summaries of May 21 and September 21, 2010 before the court.

The two summaries sent by law ministry contain advice/consultation to the Prime Minister not to write letter to the Swiss authorities to reopening corruption cases against President Zardari.

Sethi presented the summaries to Justice Nasirul Mulk and certified that they were the same summaries that she had read on 21 May, 2010.
Justice Mulk consulted about the summary with the bench, accepted it as an evidence and returned it to her.
A seven-member bench hearing the case led by Justice Nasirul Mulk also comprises Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed.
