Bhotani had raised a matter of allocation of funds of Rs650 million to Abdul Qadir Gilani who is a provincial lawmaker.

The court has decided to accept the petition and ordered the provincial chief secretary to bring forward a detailed report as to where these 'development funds' are being allocated to ceasing the transfer of funds to Abdul Qadir Gilani.

Bazinjo on the other hand, had raised similar issues hinting that the funds are actually just to gain legislative support in the senate.

Him along with Advocate Zafarullah Jamali also submitted petitions in the Supreme Court's Lahore registry to hold a Senate re-election.

Further hearing of the petitions were adjourned till 12 March.
