The foreigner, Paul McBride was a 45 year old lawyer by profession living in Scotland.

Paul who came to Lahore on 1st of March attended the wedding ceremony of a NADRA officer's son,   in Lahore, was discovered dead in his room at the five-star hotel Pearl Continental, sources said.

The night prior to his death, the deceased was present at a NADRA official's son's wedding ceremony.

After attending the wedding Paul arrived back his hotel and went to his room #796, on Saturday night.  However, the next morning when the hotel room service knocked on his door their was no answer and the room was locked.

It was after the police arrived and knocked down the door that his body was discovered.

Speculations are that, that this is unlikely to be a murder case, as there is no evidence suggesting that, including the CCTV footage.

His room was later searched and various pain-killers around where Paul's body was found. Early speculations of the police suggest that it is highly likely that the deceased died a natural death from cardiac arrest given the fact that there were traces of vomit found in the room.

The body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy which will reveal the original cause of death.
