He visited the Ordnance Centre, Malir today (Friday), for the Commanding Officers' Conference of the Ordnance Corps.

According to ISPR press release, talking on the occasion, the COAS appreciated the progress on projects, to improve the operational preparedness of the Corps of Ordnance. Ongoing improvements in infrastructure and procedures will enhance the Army’s abilities to counter multi spectrum threat and reduce overhead costs, Kayani said on arrival, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Abid Pervaiz and other senior officers.

The Chief is also expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari are expected in Karachi today,the overall situation of the country, US-Pak relations, defence related matter and recent developments on the Balochistan issue, are matter that can come under discussion according to the sources at the Presidential Office. It is speculated that Official sources are not confirming the meeting yet because of security reasons.

He is currently on his way to Shara-e-Faisal leaving the Ordinance Center in Malir.
