The commission also directed the secretary commission Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan to travel abroad and collect the evidences from Mansoor Ijaz besides witnessing the proceedings.
The Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir was ordered to request British High Commission for early issuance of visa to Secretary Commission and to ensure arrangements of establishing video links two days before the hearing in UK.
The commission also rejected the application of Akram Shiekh, the counsel of Mansoor Ijaz for appointing a local commissioner to record Mansoor Ijaz's statement abroad.
The application of Zahid Husain Bokhari, the counsel for Hussain Haqqani for closing the right of evidence of Mansoor Ijaz was rejected for the time being and he can file another application later.
Commission Head Justice Faez Issa also said that the hearing of memo via video link would continue from February 22 to 24 and lawyers who are party in the case could also go abroad after informing the commission.
The commission headed by Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Qazi Faez Issa and comprising Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Iqbal Hameed ur Rehman and Sindh High Court Chief Justice Musheer Alam, conducted the proceedings of the memo issue at Islamabad High Court.
During course of hearing, the Attorney General for Pakistan, Molvi Anwarul Haq informed the commission that he has written letter to the Canadian Blackberry company Research in Motions (RIM), seeking details of communication between Mansoor Ijaz and Hussain Haqqani. He added that couriers' receipts and text of the letter would be moved before the commission on next hearing.
Barrister Zafarullah who is also a petitioner, while presenting his arguments, said that Mansoor Ijaz is an absconder in the US Supreme Court as well and that he would not appear even in the Pakistani High Commission in London to record his statement as it also falls under the jurisdiction.
Zahid Hussain Bokhari counsel for Husain Haqqani apprised the commission that there are four cases against Mansoor Ijaz and he is an absconder of an American court.
He contended that due to the cases against Mansoor, he is asking the commission to record his statement elsewhere. On this, Justice Issa told Bukhari that he would be heard completely on this issue once he gets the evidences of such accusations.
However, Justice Faez Issa observed that despite attending all apprehensions and concerns, Ijaz has not appeared before the commission without valid excuse. Akram Sheikh told that the commission could record his client's statement in London as he cannot come to Pakistan due to security reasons. On this, Barrister Zafarullah remarked that his statement should be recorded in the US.
