A nine-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry extended period for the Commission to complete its task within further two-month period accepting the application moved by the secretary of the Commission.

The bench also accepted an application of Hussain Haqqani, former ambassador to USA, seeking removal of travel restrictions imposed upon him under order of December 1, 2011.

Asma Jahangir, counsel for Haqqani, assured the bench to submit an undertaking stating that her client would return on 4-day notice if and when required by the Commission and Court.

The bench adjourned the hearing of the case to a date in office.
