Many buses and wagons remained off road due to closure of CNG stations. People faced problems in reaching their destinations due to dearth of public transport.
A van driver Asif Butt while talking to APP said,"CNG closure not only affects commuters but also transporters as their budget is affected".
He further said that transporters have been directed by the government to fix only one CNG cylinder per vehicle. He said he had to purchase diesel or petrol to keep the vehicle running which pushed the expeses and the cost had to be passed on to commuters as "higher fares".
