Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, has directed that extraordinary security measures be taken on the occasion of the Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai being marked on January 9.

A police statement here on Saturday said that IGP Sindh had instructed that there should be conspicuous deployment of police personnel at the Mazaar and the routes leading to it.

Police personnel in plain clothed be posted and mobile and motorcycle patrolling as well as the snap checking be made more effective.
