Warner Brothers unleashed the teaser trailer for "Wrath of the Titans" late Monday, a pulse-pounding two-minute look at the what happens when the titular Titans get loose of their supernatural prison and are unleashed on both Greek gods and geek moviegoers.
"They'll bring chaos, the end of the world," warns Liam Neeson's Zeus.
They're also bringing some cool special effects, judging by the trailer, including a lumbering cyclops and a two-bodied, eight-armed monstrosity that cleaves through sword-wielding, sandal-wearing extras like butter.
Though critically lambasted over the movie's spotty 3-D conversion, the original "Clash of the Titans" rode the post-"Avatar" appetite for the format to nearly $500 million, ensuring a sequel.
"What are you waiting for," Perseus yells during the clip, while wrestling a chained CGI beast.
Why, for March 2012, when "Wrath of the Titans" hits theaters, of course.
