According to the police, around six robbers entered the bank at 10:15am and held the staff hostage. They later easily fled the scene with the security guard’s weapons.

SSP east Jawed Odho said the security of the bank is not up to the mark and guards were not trained.

He said that initial investigations suggest that there is one group which has been robbing banks in Karachi for the past few months.

He claimed that police has got the clues of robbers and will soon arrest them.
