Replying to a question, she said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) attached priority to the national interest over individual.
She said that the politics of confrontation always hampered providing relief to the people.
Dr Firdous said that the PPP was not an ethnic party but it was a symbol of federation.
She said that the existence of PPP support in all the provinces alongwith Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan was evident that the federation and PPP were too important for each other.
The Information Minister said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was facing political isolation these days.
She said the government was going to complete its fourth year in office and the PPP leadership through its recociliatory policy had turned the rivals into allies.
