More then 150 people have died and four million people have become homeless in the recent rains and floods, while 64000 livestock has swabbed in flood water.
The health, education and communication infrastructure have sustained substantial damage. In order to assess magnitude and financial impact of the disaster, a high-level team visited flood-hit areas of Sindh , the team comprises of the Chairman NDMA, the Head of UN Mission in Pakistan and other technical and professionals.
According to the National Disaster management Authority report, the flood has damaged 80 percent of cash crops including banana, dates, chilli, sugarcane and cotton and a total of 4 million acres of land including 1.7 million acres of cropped land inundated.
A total of 21 districts have been affected by the recent rains and floods.
During the recent flood countless people died due to various diseases, and countless people are under treatment in hospitals.
Atleast 17 people  including six children died due to Gestural disease in Thatta, Badin and Tando alla yar . While three children died of Malaria in Umer kot.
Due to stagnant water numerous diseases have been spread in the affected areas including malaria, skin diseases, Gestro, Diarrhoea, dengue etc.
The situation is getting worst from bad due to continuous rains because the water level is rising in the flood affected areas due to absence of drainage.
