"Election for AJK seats is going on without any problem," said Deputy Chief Election Commissioner, Mohammed Najeeb here while talking to APP.
He said that so far there is no complaint of any type from any polling station.
According to the Provincial Election Commission, 10 candidates are contesting for Consituency No. LA-XXXVI Valley-I and 11 for LA-XXX Jammu and others-I Constituency.
It may also be mentioned here that PPP's Iqbal Kashmiri and Muslim Conference candidate Hameed Abbasi have withdrawn in favour of MQM's Salim Butt from LA-XXXVI.
The candidates for LA-XXX include Aftab Ahmed, Javed Iqbal, Sardar Abdul Rasheed Daar (Muslim Conference withdrawn), Sardar Maqsod-uz-Zaman Khan (PPP withdrawn), Syed Shahzad Gilani, Abdul Hameede, Abdul Rashid Mirza, Muhammed Shahzad, Muhammed Tahir Khokhar (MQM), Muhammad Maroof Hussain, Malik Majid and Nadeem Ahmed.
Candidates for LA-XXXVI include Khawaja Ghulam Rasool, Said Hameed Abbasi (withdrawn), Shabir Ahmed Khan, Abdul Hafeez Butt, Abdul Rehman, Ghulam Nabi Kashmiri, Muhammed Iqbal Kashmiri (Withdrawn), Muhammed Saleem Bhutt (MQM), Mukhtar Lon, Nazeer Ahmed Butt and Yasmeen Butt.
The number of polling stations in five districts for Consituency No. LA-XXXVI Valley-I are 24 and 3,694 registered voters and for LA- XXX Jammu and others-I Constituency, the polling stations are 81 while number of registered voters is 25,436.
The Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly comprises of 49-member house, the voters elect 41 members, and the remaining eight seats are reserved for women and technocrats and will be elected by the house.
Meanwhile, the official of Election Commission said that police has been deployed at all the polling stations to prevent any untoward incident.
The polling will continue till 5 p.m.
