The court suspended the notification after Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani refused to sign a summary re-appointing Qureshi as the investigation officer in the case.

During Friday’s hearing into the case, Chief justice remarked that government should not eradicate court's authority. why the government was bent upon disgracing the court?

The prosecutor Babar Awan told that, Prime Minister Gilani was only exercising his constitutional and legal authority and that the government respected the judiciary.

Later, the court sought Attorney General's comments regarding the order to suspend Zafar Qureshi's transfer after which the bench issued the instructions and asked for the report in every 15 days.

Later, The hearing was adjourned for indefinite period.
