The urban parts of the country are facing 16 hours of load shedding per day. While there is unscheduled load shedding in the rural areas of the country.
Some independent power producers have also stopped the supply of electricity because of non-payment of dues from PEPCO, while others are not producing due to fuel supply issues.
Due to the power crisis hospitals are unable to provide proper services to their patients while industries are facing destruction.
Power experts suggest there will be further electricity crises in the country in the near future.
