Police and Rangers conducted search operation in different areas of Orangi Town to maintain peace in the metropolis.

Contingents of paramilitary personnel kept guard during the search operation and people were asked to stay indoors.

All markets, hotels and patrol stations in the area were closed. Residents said that children could not go schools as the entire area was sealed.

Dozens were arrested in a door-to-door search operation in Faqeer Colony, Maskani colony and Umar Baloch Mauhalla of Orangi Town.

Rangers cordoned off the area and vehicles were banned from entering Orangi Town during the operation. Motorcycle riders faced identity checks.
