Airport security official Mohammed Zafar says authorities are questioning the man about the cartridges found Thursday in the eastern city of Lahore.

Zafar did not say whether the cartridges were empty or full or how many were found. It also was unclear whether the man was entering Pakistan or leaving it.

The U.S. Embassy says it is checking into the Lahore case.
