The explosive device was planted at the road side and exploded when a car carrying a delegation of peace committee was going through the site. Two people were killed and several injured in the blast.

Leader of peace committee Haji Amal Gul had narrowly escaped from the incident. He sustained minor injuries.

After the incident, security forces cordoned off the area. Injured have been shifted to the hospital.
