Durrani invites opposition parties to cooperate in formation of caretaker set up

Talking to a private television channel the Minister said the government wants to evolve maximum consensus for formation of interim government for credibility of the general elections. He said opposition parties must play their positive role in forming the interim government, as President General Pervez Musharraf wants to hold free, fair and transparent elections.
Durrani said after the presidential election, ruling coalition has gained further strength and hoped that more parties would join the alliance in the elections.
He said as a result of presidential election, the popularity graph of President Musharraf has increased and the number of his opponents has decreased. Durrani said that presidential election has weakened the opposition and it was struggling for survival.
The Minister said that opposition has lost its credibility, and their role has finished. ARD and APDM are no more and there was confrontation in ranks of other alliances too, the Minister added.
