Manmohan's roadmap not acceptable: Rehmani

Reacting over Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's statement he made at Jammu University. Rehmani in a statement here on Thursday said "The ideas of Indian Prime Minister are not practicable as India looks at the problem from a narrow domestic angle, which it is not rationale," he remarked. Rehmani said had the people of Kashmir viewed it a border dispute of some hills or rivers, they would not have sacrificed their lives and faced brute torture and humiliation at the hands of Indian troops since long and India was taking advantage to perpetuate state terrorism on Kashmiris.
Therefore, any agreement to seal the future of Kashmir would not be accepted and would damage the interests of Pakistan, Kashmir and peace in the region, he added.
He said Kashmiris were being dealt with military & police terror and inhuman laws as India has let loose a reign of terror on innocent Kashmiris demanding their legitimate right of freedom and how under such conditions, environment could become conducive, he questioned.
He said it was of paramount importance to call back troops and abrogate inhuman laws before any dialogue and finally give right of self determination to the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Meanwhile, Farooq Rehmani has expressed serious concern over the harassment of the Kunan Bandipore victimized family by police to force them into some agreement with the soldiers, who had tried to molest a girl in the village sending a wave of anger against the army.
