“I have learnt a lot from Inzamam when he was the captain of the team and now when he will be playing in his last test of his career ,still I believe I can learn a lot from him and his presence will inspire me to handle the team in a more better way leading it to success “, he told APP here on Sunday.
Shoaib said Inzamam is a kind of player who is an exceptional cricket talent and his achievements and handling of the team are known to every one.
“I know leading a team is not an easy job and as a leader you face pressure situations and some time un-expected moments which put extra pressure and I have seen Inzamam handling all such moments very professionally and with a cool approach” ,he said.
“What I have seen him doing in the middle in the past, I will try to follow and implement it and I admire his leadership qualities “,he said.
Paying glowing tributes to the master batsman, Shoaib Malik said he believes that Inzamam will be playing some good cricket to retire from the game in ever remembered manner.
“He is the batsman who can score runs with the bat against any team of the world and I know South African will be under pressure with his presence in the team and of Muhammad Yousaf who was the world’s top scorer in test cricket last year,” he added.
Shaoib said it will be an honour for him that Inzamam will be playing under his captaincy and he will remember this cricket test forever.
“I feel more confident when I think that he (Inzamam) will be there and I also feel sad when I believe that it will be his last appearance and my expectations are high from him to do better in the test to inspire it to victory “,he said.
