Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts cold, dry weather in most parts

The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted cold and dry weather in different parts of the country on Friday (today).

According to the daily update, the PMD has predicted freezing weather in hilly areas during morning and night hours.

“Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country,” it said.

Cold and dry conditions were observed across much of the country. The lowest recorded temperatures on Thursday were -11 degrees Celsius in Leh, -6 degrees Celsius in Kalam, -4 degrees Celsius in Gopis and Astore, and -3 degrees Celsius in Malam Jabba and Bagrot.

Advisory for tourist

The cold and partly cloudy weather, with intermittent light rain and snow, is forecasted for most tourist regions, including Gilgit, Hunza Valley, Skardu, Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Malam Jabba, and Naran Kaghan, from Friday to Tuesday.

Such areas can expect partly cloudy skies with sporadic light rain or snow from Sunday to Tuesday.

In Ziarat, cold and dry conditions are anticipated over the next few days, with intermittent light rain and snow expected from Sunday to Tuesday.
