Gold prices surge in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan saw an increase on Saturday, mirroring a rise in international markets. In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,400, reaching Rs280,800.
In addition, the price for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs1,201, bringing it to Rs240,741, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
On Friday, the price of gold per tola had already increased by Rs1,100, closing at Rs279,400.
The international gold rate also rose on Saturday, with the APGJSA reporting a price of $2,690 per ounce, plus a premium of $20, reflecting a daily increase of $14.
In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs3,350 per tola.
