Mayor unveils flower show as a vision for a Greener Karachi
Karachi’s City Mayor, Murtaza Wahab, inaugurated the 5th Annual Flower Show at Frere Hall on Friday, describing the event as a representation of his vision for a greener and more harmonious city.
The three-day exhibition features a stunning display of over 100,000 marigolds and petunias, organized by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
During the event, Mayor Wahab commended the efforts of the KMC’s Parks and Horticulture Department for their role in bringing the flower show to life.
He expressed his determination to change Karachi’s reputation as a city lacking in greenery, stating, “We are working to transform this city into a place of beauty and greenery.”
The mayor invited families to visit the flower show, emphasizing its dual purpose of highlighting the city’s aesthetic appeal and raising awareness about the importance of caring for plants and trees.
