Cabinet Division releases list of public holidays in 2025
The Cabinet Division has released the calendar of public and optional holidays for the year 2025.
According to the calendar, the first holiday will be on February 5, followed by Pakistan Day on March 23.
The government is expected to announce three holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr in March, while May 1 will be observed as Labour Day.
Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28 will also be a holiday.
Holidays for Eid-ul-Azha will follow, with Ashura observed on Muharram 9 and 10 falling on July 5 and 6. Independence Day will be celebrated on August 14 and will also be a holiday.
The government has also declared a holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Rabi-ul-Awwal which will fall on September 5 and 6.
Holidays will also be declared on Iqbal Day on November 9. The final public holiday of 2025 will be on December 25 for Chirstmas/Quaid-e-Azam day.
