Islamabad’s F-8 underpass to open for traffic from Tuesday
Islamabad’s F-8 underpass will open to traffic on December 24, just 42 days after its completion, according to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Naqvi visited the F-8 underpass and Serena Chowk interchange projects on Sunday to review the construction progress. He announced that the Serena Chowk interchange, expected to be completed in just 60 days, will be inaugurated in January.
Naqvi instructed that any obstacles hindering project completion be promptly addressed, emphasizing the importance of meeting the deadlines for both projects.
He highlighted the need for swift completion to alleviate traffic congestion for Islamabad residents. He also stressed the importance of protecting trees during construction and maintaining continuous work across all project sections.
A briefing on project progress was given by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and the contractors.
