She appeared at anti-terrorism court accompanied by her lawyers
Bushra Bibi surrendered herself in the twenty-three cases of May 9 - Breaking - Aaj News

An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi barred on Saturday authorities from arresting Bushra Bibi, the wife of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, in any case related to the protests from November 23 to 27 till January 23.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah approved her bail applications in all cases.

She appeared in the ATC accompanied by her lawyers. Her lawyer, Faisal Malik, submitted the bail requests to the special court judge.

Special permission was granted for Bibi’s vehicle to enter the premises of the court upon her arrival.

The court ordered that Bibi should not be arrested in connection with the protests on November 24 and 27 until January 23. It also issued notices to investigative officers regarding all 32 cases and sought records. The hearing of the case has been postponed until January 13.

Several protesters vandalised state buildings and military installations on May 9, 2023, when Khan was arrested in a graft case from the premises of the Islamabad High Court.

Bibi was released from Adiala Jail on October 24 after being granted bail in a Toshakhana case, ending nearly nine months of her detention. The former first lady was taken into custody on January 31 after an Islamabad accountability court sentenced her and Imran to 14 years in jail in the Toshakhana reference.

She went to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after her release. According to the party, she is raising her voice for her husband’s release and not taking part in the party’s politics.

Bibi, along with KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, led the Islamabad march last month for Khan’s release. But they could not achieved their goal.
