The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that Balochistan’s Gwadar would be the venue for the player draft of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League.

The draft ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, January 11.

This decision aims to promote cricket in the region and inspire future generations to pursue the sport professionally.

In a statement, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi highlighted Gwadar’s significance and stunning coastline and emphasised the event’s role in showcasing the city’s cultural and economic importance while uniting the nation through cricket.

Naqvi expressed excitement about welcoming franchises and stakeholders to Gwadar, marking the start of Pakistan’s largest sporting event.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer stated that hosting the draft in Gwadar reflects the league’s “commitment to reaching all corners” of Pakistan and inspiring young cricketers.
