Location for PSL season 10 draft announced
The highly anticipated draft for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 is scheduled to take place in Pakistan, with sources indicating that it will likely be held in either Karachi or Lahore. The event marks the official kickoff for preparations for the league’s milestone tenth edition.
Originally, there was a proposal to hold the draft overseas, but officials ultimately decided that hosting it domestically was more appropriate at this time. All PSL matches will also be conducted in Pakistan, despite earlier discussions about potentially staging some games abroad.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday that the registration window for overseas players is now open, allowing them to express their availability for the upcoming season.
Category renewals for players will be revealed on Tuesday, followed by the relegation process and player retention procedures later this month.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer expressed enthusiasm for the opening of the registration and trade window for foreign players. “We are excited to announce the start of the registration process for overseas players, marking an exciting beginning to our preparations for the much-anticipated 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League,” he stated.
Naseer also emphasized the league’s growth since its establishment in 2016, highlighting its status as a premier cricket competition. “The HBL PSL is a home-grown brand that we take pride in. Alongside our franchise owners, commercial partners, and stakeholders, we have embarked on a successful journey. The quality and competitiveness of the cricket played is unparalleled, and we are dedicated to meeting the expectations of our loyal fans. The landmark 10th season promises even more excitement, and the HBL PSL team is committed to delivering unmatched experiences for our fans.”
