Gold prices see major increase in Pakistan after two days of decline
After falling in the previous two sessions, gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday, reflecting an increase in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs275,900, marking a one-day increase of Rs1,600.
The price for 10 grams of gold was set at Rs236,540, having risen by Rs1,372, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, the price per tola had dropped by Rs4,100 in Pakistan.
Internationally, gold prices also saw an uptick on Wednesday, with the APGJSA reporting a rate of $2,647 per ounce (including a premium of $20), an increase of $16 for the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady at Rs3,400 per tola.
Globally, gold prices fluctuated within a narrow range on Wednesday as investors awaited crucial US inflation data, which could provide insights into the potential for a Federal Reserve rate cut next month.
