Where did KP CM Gandapur go from KP House in Islamabad?
The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from the KP House have come to light due to protests at the D-Chowk in Islamabad on Sunday.
On October 4, the KP chief minister unexpectedly vanished after entering Islamabad while taking part in the party’s “peaceful protest.” He led a cavalcade heading to the federal capital when he made an announcement at the Burhan Interchange that the PTI protest would “definitely take place at D-Chowk.” Upon reaching Islamabad, he delivered a brief address to his party workers near the Red Zone and then left the area.
He initially took his caravan to the Islamabad Toll Plaza. From there, he decided to return via Sangjani and entered the federal capital through that route, heading towards Blue Area.
A private news channel while citing sources reported that Gandapur separated from his caravan in Sangjani and proceeded to the China Chowk. After 3pm, he was reported missing.
It added that he was on his way from the China Chowk to the KP House in Islamabad when he disappeared.

The video then shows a man resembling Gandapur leaving in a grey shalwar kameez accompanied by police personnel dressed in civilian clothes.
The footage shows that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa willingly exited the KP House with his security personnel.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and senior PTI leader Omar Ayub has claimed that the KP CM has been illegally arrested. But official sources have stated that Gandapur has not been arrested.
Video raises questions about Gandapur’s presence
Claims have emerged regarding the authenticity of images showing Gandapur leaving the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House. KP’s Minister for Public Health Pakhtun Yar Khan has claimed that the photos circulating were not of CM Gandapur, but rather of himself.
In a video message shared on social media, he stated: “This image is mine, and I own it. You can match the shoes and clothing I wore at the D-Chowk with what is shown in the picture.”
This statement has sparked discussions about the veracity of the images and the whereabouts of Gandapur during the ongoing protests.
‘Gandapur has not been officially arrested’
On the other hand, KP’s Adviser on Information Muhammad Ali Saif stated that CM Gandapur has not been “officially arrested.”
In his statement, Saif mentioned that a heavy presence of Rangers and police was stationed at the KP House. He noted that the KP CM was currently on bail until October 25 and his arrest would constitute contempt of court.
He warned that if the provincial chief minister were to be arrested, it would be an “affront” to the mandate of the people of KP and the federal government would have to “answer for such unconstitutional and illegal actions.”
