Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik appointed DG ISI
Lieutenant Muhammad Asim Malik has been appointed the Director-General of the Inter-Sevices Intelligence.
Lt General Malik will assume charge of his duties on September 30.
He is currently serving as the Adjutant General in the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Lt General Malik has commanded an infantry division in Balochistan and and infantry brigade in Waziristan.
Malik is a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and Royal College of Defence Studies. He also won the sword of honour after his course.
Lt General Nadeem Anjum has been serving as the DG ISI since 2021 and was given a one-year extension in 2023.
