CII chairman praises SC judgement in Mubarak Sani case
Allama Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) chairman, has praised the Supreme Court’s judgement in the Mubarak Sani case.
In a statement on Thursday, Naeemi stated that the court’s decision to remove all controversial and contentious clauses from the case and forward it to the trial court without discrimination was “commendable.”
“This court verdict has provided solace to the principled position and legal opinion of the entire Muslim Ummah, which the council views with great importance,” it said.
The CII chairman also appreciated the court and Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa for accepting the demands of the council and all schools of thought and correcting their decision.
The court proceedings were carried out in light of the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in which all circles of thought played their role.
“In the light of the scholars’ recommendations, the unrest found among the Muslims of Pakistan, especially the religious classes, has been alleviated,” he added.
