‘Moana 2’ trailer sets franchise viewing record
The highly anticipated sequel “Moana 2” has already made a major splash even before its theatrical release.
The film’s trailer has shattered records, garnering a staggering 178 million views in its first 24 hours, surpassing previous marks held by Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” (157 million) and Disney Animation’s “Frozen 2” (116 million).
The film is set to release on November 27, 2024.
This achievement underscores the enduring popularity of the “Moana” franchise and represents a significant milestone for Disney’s animation division, which includes both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar.
The trailer’s record-breaking performance will further heighten anticipation for the sequel, as it is set to be featured before the release of “Inside Out 2,” which is projected to have a strong opening weekend.
