A social media influencer, who is an Indian expatriate, has died after falling from a 19th-floor apartment building in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, Khaleej Times reported.

The deceased was identified as Shanifa Babu who died at the time when her mother came to visit her from Dubai.

Before her death, the expat in a TikTok post on Thursday said: “Don’t fall in love with me, I will break your heart.”

The incident took place around 9am, her husband, mother, and children were in the apartment at the time, a family friend told the news outlet while seeking anonymity.

Social workers reported that both Shanifa’s mother and husband were at the police station to complete formalities on Sunday.

Many users poured condolence messages as one user wrote: “I cannot believe you are no longer on this earth Shanu.”

Another said, “You were someone I became friends with on social media without ever meeting in real life, rest in peace.”

She has more than 90,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok.

The expat was married to an entrepreneur and owned his construction firm in the emirate. The couple belonged to the southern Indian state of Kerala, India.
