An unfortunate incident unfolded at the Saddar Police Station in Gujranwala on Sunday where a sub-inspector opened fire on a muharrar.

According to the police report, Naib Muharrar Sohaib Virk managed to save his life by taking cover under a table.

The report further states that Virk instructed Sub-Inspector Shahid Ghaus to perform duties at the High Court, which led to Ghaus losing control.

He stormed into a room, retrieved a pistol, and fired at Virk.

The Thana Sabzi Mandi Police immediately took both Ghaus and Virk into custody.
