Multiple investors show interest in buying PIA
**Several international investors have expressed interest in acquiring the Pakistan International Airlines as the government pushes for privatisation.
Investors from Germany, France, Holland, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Turkey have expressed interest in buying the national flag carrier.
Besides international parties, several local groups are alsosaid to be interested in the venture.
Approximately two days ago, the board members of PIA decided to privatize and restructure the company.
The Federal Minister of Aviation has ordered an online call with Pakistani ambassadors in these countries.
He has suggested that both local and international investors will be involved to enhance the experience of local investors in making their pool and participating in the bidding process.
The government has already taken multiple steps towards the privatisation of the airline including the establishment of a holding company.
