Aseefa Bhutto Zardari is likely to be the next first lady of Pakistan, sources said on Sunday.

Asif Ali Zardari, who took oath as president of Pakistan on Sunday, will officially declare Aseefa as the first lady soon, the reports added.

Aseefa, 31, is the youngest of Zardari’s three children with former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

A post from Pakistan Peoples Party’s handle on X seemingly alluded to the development when it posted a photo from Zardari’s oath taking with the caption, “First lady with the president.”

The photo showed Aseefa, dressed in green with a white scarf on her head in a way reminiscent of her mother, walking arm in arm with her father.

Sources told Aaj News that no such notification has been issued so far, but the decision is likely to be made official soon.

Aseefa is often seen at her father’s side and has regularly accompanied her father at court hearings.
