PTI backed independent candidates oppose joining PTI-P: sources
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf backed independent candidates have opposed joining the PTI-Parliamentarians, sources said on Sunday, as the party seeks to form a coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This came during party’s meeting presided over by PTI’s nominated candidate for KP’s chief minister position Ali Amin Gandapur.
Earlier, it was reported that the PTI had made an alliance with its faction which was formed by former party members including Pervez Khattak.
Sources added that the candidates maintained that they would not be part of the PTI-P until Khattak, Mehmood Khan, and Ziaullah Banghash were part of the party.
Moreover, the PTI has asked candidates to stay in Peshawar for a week.

Participants of the meeting stressed that matters related to the government formation should be decided at the earliest.
It merits here to mention that the PTI has decided to form an alliance with the Sunni Ittehad Council for the government in Centre. But the party has also made a deal with the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.
Sources added that the PTI has approached the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sherani group.
