Re-polling under way in Balochistan’s national, provincial assembly seats

Re-polling began in Balochistan’s NA-253 and PB-9 seats in Kohlu on Friday. It was postponed due to poor law and order situation on February 8, the polling day.

The voting process began at 8am and would continue till 5pm without any interruption. The number of registered voters in the constituency was 8,263, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The electoral authority has claimed to have completed all the preparations for conducting polls.

At least five polling stations for men and women and two for women have been established in the constituency.

The ECP issued the notification related to the re-polling on February 12.

The ECP had issued instructions to the Balochistan chief secretary, inspector general of police, and other law enforcement agencies.
