Why Umair Jaswal had to give clarification after ex-wife Sana’s marriage with Shoaib Malik
Singer-cum-actor Umair Jaswal has clarified that a fake X account on his name has turned up on social media after his former wife Sana Javed confirmed her marriage with cricketer Shoaib Malik.
“Fake. Not my account,” the Sammi Meri Waar crooner said in his Instagram stories as the posts from the unverified account were getting viral on the social media platform.
Since Sana confirmed her second marriage on Saturday, the X account with the username @UmairJas has made several posts where the user has demeaned the actress.
One of the tweets, where Umair’s former wife is accused of wrecking the house because of following former prime minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, has been reposted more than 200 times.
Another post where the user compares the singer with the former husband of former first lady Khawar Maneka with his picture has been reposted more than 60 times.
The Mor Mahal actor also clarified on Sunday that his X account was different, having the username @umairjaswal. In his Instagram post, he also wrote that it was an “official account.”
Shoaib and Sana married a few days ago in Karachi and their photos were leaked to social media, reports said.
Since Sana and Malik had worked together in the past when the cricketer acted as a model and walked on the ramps, fans believed the earlier images were from one of those photoshoots. But family sources and Malik’s social media post confirmed the marriage.
Many believe the two met at Fahad Mustafa’s show Jeeto Pakistan after Malik posted a picture of him and Javed in March of 2023, captioned “Happy Birthday Buddy”.
