PCB rules out Abbas Afridi with abdomen injury
Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday that pacer Ababs Afridi has been ruled out of the third T20 match against New Zealand due to injury.
The Board described Afridi’s injury as a ‘low grade abdominal wall muscle strain’.
“His scan has shown no sign of significant injury, and he will be managed symptomatically,” a statement from PCB said.
“His availability for the last two games will be made at a later stage,” PCB said.
The pacer has taken five wicets in the series so far including 3-34 in the first and 2-43 in the second match.
Pakistan is already without Shadab Khan in the series, who was ruled out with an ankle injury.
On the other hand, NZ captain Kane Williamson has also been sidelined with a leg injury.
