Toshakhana case verdict: Pervez Khattak says courts are independent
PTI Parliamentarians Chairman and former leader of Imran Khan’s PTI Pervez Khattak has said that decision regarding the arrest of Khan in the Toshakhana criminal case is proof that the courts are independent in Pakistan.
Reacting to the conviction of the PTI chief, Khattak said that the courts in Pakistan are independent and give decisions under the law and the Constitution which is evident from the verdict in the Toshakhana case.
Without naming the PTI chief, Kattak said that his greed for power has destroyed the party within a year, which took them years to strengthen.
The PTI Parliamentarians chairman further said that those who helped him in becoming the prime minister were humiliated in front of everyone.
Khattak claimed that he repeatedly told the PTI chairman not to dissolve the assembly and remain in the Parliament; however, Khan remained stubborn which led him to this day.
The disgruntled PTI leader vowed that the PTI will not be allowed to do any more adventures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Another former leader of PTI Abdul Aleem Khan also reacted to the conviction of the PTI chief by calling it karma.
“This is karma. You reap what you sow,” he wrote on Twitter.
