Watch: Shaheen Afridi resumes bowling in Karachi
Star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has resumed bowling after recovering from a knee injury which kept him out of action for over a month.
The left-arm pacer injured his knee during the T20 World Cup final against England back in November.
Shaheen, who is expected to make comeback during the Pakistan Super League season eight, joined the Pakistan team at the National Stadium to continue his rehab.
At lunch on day one, Shaheen came out to bowl alongside bowling coach Shaun Tait and physio Cliffe Deacon. He was looking in good rhythm.
The PCB confirmed that Shaheen will resume his rehabilitation under the national men’s team’s medical staff in Karachi from today (Monday).
“While providing Shaheen top-notch care, this move will allow the medical staff to track his progression and pave way for his smooth return to action.”
Moreover, Haris Rauf has been called by the interim selection committee and team management for the assessment of his injury ahead of announcing the ODI squad.
