Shaheen Afridi reveals when he is returning to action
Star Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has said that he would be ‘fully fit soon’ as he reveals the timeline for his return.
The pacer sustained a knee injury during the ICC T20 World Cup final against England and was ruled out from the ongoing Test series against Ben Stokes’ side.
Moreover, the 22-year-old also had his appendix removed earlier this month.
The lanky pacer, who is nursing his knee on the sidelines, told media that he is having ‘less proteins’ diet.
“We did not become unfit […] we just caught the evil eye,” Shaheen said on a lighter note when asked about his and Haris Rauf’s injury.
Elaborating on his recovery, he said: “There was a medical board working with me and guiding me about the diet — what to eat and what to not. My physique is such that I need certain things and do not need others.”
Pacer Haris Rauf was recently ruled out of the remainder of the Test series due to an injury.
Moreover, when asked about his return to action, the Lahore Qalandars pacer was optimistic to be back in the ground within two to three weeks.
Pakistan Super League season eight (PSL 8) is scheduled from February 9 to March 19 in Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. Lahore Qalandars will defend their title.
