Shehzad Roy shares pearl of wisdom for people wanting to help flood victims
Singer-cum-philanthropist Shehzad Roy has urged people wanting to help the flood victims to coordinate with the deputy commissioner, the PDMA and NDMA of all four provinces so that the adequate amount of relief items reaches the right place.
“I only request you to coordinate with the DC, PDMA and NDMA of the areas concerned to ask them what is needed even if you want to give it by yourself,” he said in a post on YouTube and Twitter.

“Please ask them. Hopefully, we will get united and this situation will get better,” Shehzad said in a video message which was shot against the backdrop of a blue sky.
Floods triggered by heavy rains have so far killed more than 1,000 people and affected over 33 million people, said the NDMA data released on Sunday.
Shehzad, who also runs Zindagi Trust, shared a relief story from the 2008 earthquake. He called for “channelising” people’s passion for relief and rescue. The singer described it as important and called for awareness about the ground realities as some places lack kitchen facilities.
