The free version of Adobe Photoshop is currently available in Canada only but the company plans to make it accessible to everyone on the web.

The company is currently testing a free version of Photoshop on the web according to The Verge.

The online version will need no software installations but will need a reliable internet connection to create a free Adobe account.

“We want to make Photoshop accessible and easier for more people to try out and experience the product,” said Maria Yap, vice president of digital imaging at Adobe.

The web version does not require a powerful computer to run on.

“I want to see Photoshop meet users where they are right now,” said Yap. “You don’t need a high-end machine to access Photoshop.”

For now, they have not announced when the new version will be out but new features such as curve and edge refinement have been added.
