Anita Karim, Pakistan’s first professional mixed martial arts fighter, thanked her fans for the support after she won a fight against an Australian opponent in Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium.

Karim, who hails from Gilgit-Baltistan’s Hunza, fought against Uyen Ha under the banner of Fairtex Fight Promotion in the minimum weight category in Bangkok.

She remained dominant over her opponent during three rounds of the match.

Earlier, Karim’s brother proudly shared her success in a tweet.

Karim, whose first professional fight was in 2018, is the only woman among the more than 300 professional MMA fighters in Pakistan. She comes from a family of MMA fighters.

Anita has been training in Fairtex Training Centre, Pattaya for a couple of years, according to reports.
