Host Nadia Khan has finally spoken up about the exchange with Sharmila Farooqi’s mother in a thirty minute video posted on her YouTube channel Outstyle.

The video comes after Sharmila Farooqi initiated FIA action against the host for mocking her mother by talking to her about her makeup and clothes during Saboor Aly and Ali Ansari’s mehendi celebrations. Sharmila was outraged at the two minute clip shared on social media and called Khan “shameless” while also following through on her threat to report the incident to cybercrime.

Khan goes on emphasize how she was recording the entire event, which was then made into a two part video, in which Anisa Farooqi was only featured for two minutes.

Khan also asked her audience as well as Sharmila to specify what was offensive about the video and whether it was the language Khan used that prompted, what she deemed an unnecessary response. Khan said, what was criminal was the language that Sharmila used to describe the host.

She further asked Sharmila, “Don't you think that your mother is pretty? I will say it again, I love women who take care of themselves at every age and that your mother is beautiful.”

The offending video was deleted soon after Sharmila took to social media to express her displeasure.
